NLL: Bandits Look To Turn Things Around In Rochester

Oh, what a few weeks can do in the NLL. After a terrible start to the season, the Rochester Knighthawks now look to be one of the more dangerous teams in the league. The Bandits on the other hand, who after looking strong through the first few weeks are now showing signs of weaknesses. That all being said, both teams are tied at 3-3.

Last week these two teams played a one sided affair, as Rochester beat down on the Bandits 15-7. It wasn’t close from the start, something the Buffalo needs to avoid even more than last week now that they are on the road. Matt Vinc had an excellent game in net and was part of the reason that the Bandits were never in the game.

Dan Dawson had turned it up the past two games, scoring 16 points. As a whole the Rochester offense seems to have finally turned a corner. Cody Jamieson was named offensive player of the week and as a whole the team scored 35 goals last weekend. Not too shabby indeed.

The Bandits have one roster change this week, as backup Kurtis Wagar is out with an injury. He has been released from the team to make room for Scott Koger, who has been playing with the Barrie Blizzard of the Canadian Lacrosse League. He played in six games with the Bandits as the backup in 2001.

The game kicks off Saturday at 7:30 pm eastern in the Blue Cross Arena. The game can be watched live on the Lacrosse Network.
