Black Wolves Have Been Under the Radar But Impressive

New England heads into its bye week and are looking great so far. They took down two of the top teams in the Eastern conference to start the 2015 year off. In just the first two games of the season, goalie Evan Kirk has looked great playing every second while making 84 saves and only letting up 15 goals. The Black Wolves upgraded their back-up position and that has seemed to help Kirk up his own game in the net.
On offense, Kevin Crowley has been leading the team with 16 points, 7 goals and 9 assists. Kyle Buchanan is not far behind with 12 points of his own. Pat Saunders has also been playing great so far and is tied with Kevin Buchanan for third in points, each with 9. Rookie, Quinn Powless has also be impressive with 6 points while being a vital threat at the offensive end. Jamie Lincoln also has 6 points with 2 goals and 4 assists. Veteran forward Brett Bucktooth has been put on injury reserve list but that has only helped add to the teams defense with adding rookie Sheldon Burns to the active roster.
Another rookie on defense that has been impressive is Bill O’Brien standing at 6-4 235lbs. He is a monster that has made it tough on opposing forwards to score. Joel White is the teams captain and leading the Black Wolves with 25 loose balls and also had 3 points. White is all over the floor doing anything and everything to help his team get the win. Craig England is second on the team with 12 loose balls and has shown promise on defense while also Mike Manley and Brett Manney are also stars of this defensive unit.
The Black Wolves were very under the radar to start the season but have turned many heads these past two weeks. Coming off this bye week  they will look to keep their momentum going when they are back at home to take on the Minnesota Swarm. This game will also match up to coworkers of Thompson Brothers Lacrosse when Bill O’ Brien takes on Miles Thompson. It will be a great game to watch for sure.
