The Boston Cannons will begin their second half this Saturday, and they hope to start it better than their first half ended, losing three of their last four games.
The Cannons lead the league in goals, so offense is not a problem, and neither is their goaltending with Jordan Burke in the net. However, their issue in the past four games has been scoring late. If they can get their clutch back, I don’t see why they wouldn’t be a favorite.
Boston begins their second half schedule against Hamilton on Saturday. Here is a look at the entire schedule
July 7 @ Hamilton
July 14 @ Long Island
July 19 vs Denver
July 28 vs Chesapeake
August 4 vs Ohio
Ausgust 11 @ Ohio
Their last two games will not be as hard against Ohio, who has just one win, but the other four will be tough. Hamilton needs wins, and are a talented team. Long Island is the hottest team in the league, while Denver is in second place and Chesapeake has the best record in lacrosse.
It should be an interesting second half for the Cannons, who will need to score as much as they have been and pick it up on defense. There is no reason they cannot be the 2012 champions.
