As my coach always said, “You’re only as good as your competition. You can be the best in your league but if there are better leagues out there, you are not truly the best.”
Therefore, even if the young program falters at FIL Denver (which they are determined to avoid) then they will have, at the least, experienced new, better competition. Hence, their program will grow, learn and develop better.
And by the chance Team China goes all the way, then other tournament participants will have learned and developed from a Chinese model. In terms of lacrosse maturity and expansion, there’s no losing side to FIL Denver, the experience levels of teams, or the distances needing to be traveled.
Recently, Charles Tsiang launched a new financial initiative with hopes of securing a better monetary foundation for the team’s expenses and travels. The program is designed to benefit both Team China and any donators.
The program deemed IndieGoGo has been created, and anyone wishing to assist in increasing the competition levels at FIL Denver can to do so by following this link:

And, there’s an awesome promotional video of the team. Who doesn’t love videos?!
The international lacrosse community worked miracles to bring Team Uganda to FIL Denver. Now, let’s do the same for the next program on the list.
