This weekend saw plenty of action in the Continental Indoor Lacrosse League, but the big winners were the Colorado Sabertooths who took home three victories.The first game of the weekend was Friday night between the Chicago Outlaws and Colorado Sabertooths in Chicago. The Sabertooths took this game 14-11. The Outlaws led this game 4-2 after one period, but then the ‘Tooths took off. They took the lead again 13-6, but Dan Frick helped lead Colorado to their first win of the season.
The next day Chicago played the Milwaukee Marauders and mauled them to start their season 4-1. The Outlaws took that game by a score of 16-7, led by forward Kyle Burke. Later on in the day the Sabertooths played the Grand Rapids Dragonfish, and pulled out another win 13-6. Colorado Mammoth player Alex Demopolous was the hero of this game with three goals.
On Saturday we also saw a contest between the Detroit Coney Dogs and Columbus Brew, with Columbus taking a 19-2 win for their second win of the year. Lastly on Sunday, Colorado took their third win with a 19-6 win over Milwaukee. Monte Montgomery got his first career win in net for Colorado in the CILL.
