CLax: Demons Look to Stay in First

The Ohsweken Demons will look to take soul possession of first place in the Canadian Lacrosse League as they take on the Niagara Lock Monsters on Family Day.

The last time these two clubs met, the Demons walked away with a convincing 18-11 victory on February 1st. The offensive trio of Delby Powless, Wayne Van Every and Roger Vyse combined for 22 points in the win.

Leading the way for the Lock Monsters was Andrew Potter who registered a pair of goals and four assists for six points en route to the clubs second loss of the year.

Demons netminder Jeff Powless picked up his fourth win of the season while being named first star of the game. Grant Crawley was charged the loss while stopping 19 of 31 shots on net.

Niagara have lost two games in a row after opening their inaugural season at 2-0. Last weekend, the Lock Monsters had a packed building at Seymour Hannah in St.Catharines as over 500 fans were in attendance. A packed building is expected tonight as the first place Demons come to town.
