As Week 7 comes to an end here are this weeks CLAX Power Rankings
1. Niagara Lock Monsters (5-2) – The Monsters have been a dominant force this year and that was no different this week. The Monsters put on a clinic against the Blizzard beating them 21-5. The Monsters have the most dominant offense in CLAX earning them the number one spot.
2. Oshweken Demons (5-3) – The Demons have been solid this year and once again came up with a big win when needed. The Demons edged out the Toronto Shooting Stars 14-13. The Demons have shown their ability to win tight games and most of it has been due to the steal play of Wayne VanEvery who has been an all star this year on offense.
3. Toronto Shooting Stars (4-2) – The Stars sit in a four way tie for third but standout from the other two teams due to their outstanding goaltending. Angus Dinely has been outstanding for the Stars and earns his team the third spot on this list as he has the ability to steal games for the Stars this season. Dinely gives the Stars a chance to win every game solidifying them at number 3.
4. Brampton Inferno (4-2) – The Inferno won a hard fought game 12-10 against the Ironmen this week and are on a roll winning their last 3 games. The Inferno are a team that has the ability to beat the best in the league but have faltered at times this year. If the Inferno can play like the team that came back to beat Oshweken then they will be moving up this list.
5. Durham TurfDogs (4-2) – The TurfDogs have had a solid season and are one of the few teams to beat Niagara but they have also lost to Brampton and Toronto. The TurfDogs could easily be fourth on this list but the Inferno’s win over them keeps them in fifth despite an impressive 15-7 win over Barrie.
6. Iroquois Ironmen (0-5)- The Ironmen have lost some heart breakers this year but have brought fight to every game this season. The Ironmen earn the sixth spot on this list due to their ability to compete as they only fell 12-10 against the Inferno this week and have potential if they can get on a roll to surprise some teams.
7. Barrie Blizzard (0-6)- The Blizzard are still in search of their first win in team history. The Blizzard once again got out classed this weekend as they were thrashed by both Durham and Niagara. The Blizzard need to find a way to be more competitive or it will be a long season.
