With week two of the Clax season in the books here are this weeks power rankings.
1. Oshweken Demons- The Demons continue to dominate as they dismantled the Brampton Inferno on the weekend 16-8. Roger Vyse led the way for the Demons with 9 points while Derby Powless chipped in with 7 points. The Demons offense is the best in the league right now and teams will be hard pressed to stop it.
2. Niagara Lock Monsters- Niagara kicked off their inagaural season with a bang as they walked through the Iroquois Ironmen. The Monsters defeated the Ironmen 22-13 and tied the record for most goals scored in a game. Corey Fowler led the way for the Monsters with 11 points while Kin Squire had 8 points. The Monsters look like they may be terrorizing the league this year.
3. Durham TurfDogs- The TurfDogs were not in action this week but remain in third spot due to their impressive win last week over the Toronto Shooting Stars.
4. Toronto Shooting Stars- The Stars were not in action this week but are in fourth spot for their close game against the TurfDogs which they lost in a heart breaker 11-10.
5. Brampton Inferno- The Inferno lost their first game of the season but were able to keep pace with the Demons for half the game before falling off in the third quarter. The Inferno’s potential is what lands them at number 5.
6. Iroquois Ironmen- The Ironmen are 0-2 on the season and were thoroughly beat in both games. So far the Ironmen have given up 40 goals in two games and have played terrible defense. The Ironmen need to step up their game or they will be down at the bottom of these rankings all year.
7. Barrie Blizzard- The Blizzard are the only team to have not played a game this season which lands them in last spot. The Blizzard will get their first taste of action next Saturday against the Oshweken Demons.
