Colorado Sabertooths Will Not Play in 2014

The Colorado Sabertooths have officially announced that they will not be playing in the CILL for the 2014 season.  Sabertooths General Manager Matt Ogden stated, “The CIKL has made significant efforts towards development as evidenced by the increased level of talent and play however the current model and market has proven to be unsustainable.”

The Colorado Sabertooths mission was to create a platform for post collegiate players to take their indoor box lacrosse skills and knowledge to the professional level. Winning back to back CILL Championship titles in 2012 and 2013 and playing a role in developing players such as Alex Demopolous that went on to play in the NLL for the Colorado Mammoth was proof the organization had a recipe for early success.

Sabertooths success was built upon a talented coaching staff lead by Colorado Mammoth legends John Gallant, Brian Langtry, and  John Grant Jr. and the on field leadership of former Philadelphia Wings and Edmonton Rush Forward, Dan Finck. Matt Ogden and Assistant General Manager, Matt DiRocco, are optimistic for this championship organization’s future and look forward to the organization’s next venture.
