Brett Bucktooth has signed with the Connecticut NLL team according to Inside Lacrosse’s Teddy Jenner via Twitter. Bucktooth, a forward, had been an unrestricted free agent after playing the last two seasons with the Vancouver Stealth.
In 11 games last season, Bucktooth scored 43 points, 18 of them goals. It is just one less point than his 44 from the 2013 season with the Stealth as well.
Bucktooth split the 2012 season with the Buffalo Bandits and then the Stealth in the second half. He had 41 points that season.
The 44 points from the 2013 season was the career high for the eight-year veteran who had spent most of his career in Buffalo before he was traded to the then Washington Stealth.
Connecticut adds Bucktooth, a righty forward, to a right handed offensive side that includes Jordan Hall and 2014 breakout player Pat Saunders. Garrett Thul is likely to miss the season and it is unknown if Brendan Mundorf will play, so it is a good addition for them.
