Team England is about to invade US lacrosse with a series of fall ball games in the North East. The series will open Saturday October 19th against Dartmouth University. From there, Team England will take on the likes of UMass, Harvard, Boston University, Brown, with a closing match against Bryant University on October 26th.
The game against Dartmouth this weekend will be played in Manchester, New Hampshire. They travel to Amherst, Massachusetts on Sunday to play UMass before playing at Harvard Stadium on Tuesday night. The next night they travel to new program Boston University and face them at Nickerson Field. Some of the top English players include Sam Patterson, Oliver White and Sam Russell.
The coach of Team England, Matthew Bagley, expects this to be a great experience for his players, and also an important step when it comes to the selection process for the 2014 World Championship in Denver, Colorado. Boston should also be a comfortable city to visit for the team, as the city is a not too distant cousin of the United Kingdom. I expect the team will be given a warm welcome as they look to compete against these prestigious universities and their squads.
