FIL: England and Scotland Fight for Fifth Place

In a game for the ages Scotland and England will meet for the 5th place finish. Not yet having faced each other in the tournament, each team will have to rely on their best scouting report to give themselves the edge to victory.

England coming off of two straight wins against Germany and Israel they are riding high, after a rocky start to the games. Powered by Samuel Russell, Adrian Bennett, and Colin Clive the England offense is hitting its stride. Their defense has tightened up as well, holding their opponents to 12 points in the last 2 games. They will need to keep that stellar defense they had against Israel to keep the very talented Scotland offense at bay.

With Scotland’s only loss coming to the Iroquois Nationals they enter this contest as the favorite. They have a fantastic team on both sides of the ball, and will be a tough contest for team England. The McBride’s and Buchanan have run the score on many opponents in these games. Their defense holding all their opponents to less than double digits with the exception of New Zealand. Finishing the games with another win would not only be huge, but would be a great win for their countries pride.

At 11 am MDT all will be settled for the next four years between these two great nations. All the past history will be put aside, each team will honor the creator and leave it all on the field.
