Germany and Ireland are set to square off in the consolation 9th place game. Both have had a very strong tournament with only 3 losses between the two teams, with both sharing a loss to Israel. With both teams having their way against most of their competition, this may be the closest competition yet.

As the two teams seem to be very evenly matched on both offense and defense it could turn into a shootout. Also running most of their production out of their attack, the two teams seem to mirror each other.
The key to victory for these two teams is going to come down to the defense that can close the gate at X. Keeping the other teams attack from getting above GLE or moving off ball with their hands free for a shot on goal.
