InLax Lacrosse League: Week One Preview

On Saturday, the InLax Lacrosse League will make their much awaited debut with a full slate of games. Who is playing who this week, and what do they have to offer?

Detroit Redhawks vs Minnesota Marauders 

It’s a division matchup in the west with Detroit travelling to Minnesota. The Marauders are led by goaltender Tyler Richards and an offense that posts NLL rookie of the year Adam Jones, Rhys Duch, Eric Lusby and Rob Pannell.

Detroit, meanwhile, has two time NLL goaltender of the year Matt Vinc manning the pipes. MLL defender of the year Lee Zink is on the squad along with MLL hardest shot winner in 2012 Kyle Hartzell.

Dallas Dingoes vs Edmonton Lynx

NLL goalie of the year Mike Poulin guards the net for the Lynx, and also on their squad is rookie Mark Matthews, defender of the year Kyle Rubisch, and Kasey Biernes.

Dallas has a veteran roster with men such as Stephen Peyser and Billy Dee Smith leading the way. NLL standout goalie Aaron Bold is also on the roster.

Vancouver Vikings vs Seattle Serpents

A northwest matchup, both Scott and Shawn Evans are on the Vikings roster. Stickhorses standout Joel Zalesky is on the offense along with Cannons break out player Ari Sussman. For Seattle, they are led by Geoff Snider and Cody Jamieson.

Baltimore Sharks vs Charlotte Cougars

The Cougars are a team built on defense and transition, but they also have standouts Paul Rabil and Steele Stanwick. In net, they have Anthony Cosmo. The Sharks are led by Ryan Benesch with Tyler Carlson in net.

Rochester Chargers vs Toronto Metros

Toronto looks to be one of the most dangerous teams in the league, with Colin Doyle, Brendan Mundorf, Athan Iannucci and Jamie Rooney. The Chargers look for a strong performance in goal from Vince Talbot with an offense led by Kyle Harrison.

Montreal Monarques vs Quebec City Renard

A team of veterans, the Renard are led by Gavin Prout, Kaleb Toth and Scott Ranger. Lewis Ratcliff is the Montreal top scorer, and they are led by a young duo of goalies in Blake Duncan and Cole Murray.

Denver Rangers vs Philadelphia Falcons

John Grant Jr leads the Denver offense, and they have a strong transition with Ryan Hotaling and Anthony Kelly. The Falcons have young stars Ned Crotty and Carter Bender, with Nick Rose leading the way between the pipes.

Calgary Flyers vs Winnipeg Prarie Dogs

Billy Bitter and Kevin Crowley lead the young offense of Calgary with Ginny Cappichioni in net. They have a strong defense with Nicky Polanco and Brock Sorenson. Max Seibald and David Earl lead the Prarie Dogs.

Tampa Bay Snipers vs Albany Colonials

Blaine Manning and John Tavares are the top players on Tampa with Nick Schroder between the pipes. Garrett Billings and Shawn Williams lead the Colonials.

Buffalo Stags vs Boston Blue Jays

Boston is a team built on transition, with Jordan MacIntosh and Tyler Hass. Patrick Crosby is in net and Chris Bocklet leads the offense. Buffalo is led by Dane Dobbie and Luke Wiles.

Portland Lightning vs Hartford Vipers

The Vipers are led by Boston Cannons goalie Jordan Burke, along with Joel White and Brad Ross. Portland is the home of Grant Catalino, Callum Crawford and Curtis Dickson.

Washington Whirlpool vs Pittsburgh Cavaliers

CJ Costabile leads the defense of Washington, along with Phil Sanderson and Rory Smith. The Cavs are led by Ryan Young, Nolan Godfrey and Stephan LeBlanc.
