Jason Noble Suspended For Preseason Cross Check

Minnesota Swarm rookie transition man Jason Noble has been suspended by the National Lacrosse League for one game for an illegal cross check in a preseason game against the Calgary Roughnecks.

Noble, the second overall pick in the 2014 NLL draft, is appealing the suspension and will make his NLL debut this Saturday night against the Rochester Knighthawks. However, if his appeal falls through, he will likely be suspended for the next time the Swarm play.

The preseason game took place on December 14th and Noble was assessed a match penalty, which was reviewed by the league and then they decided the penalty was worth a suspension. With it being an untelevised preseason game, there is no available footage of the penalty on Noble.

Noble will likely be playing with the Swarm this week now that he has appealed. On the left side of transition for the Swarm are David Earl and Brock Sorensen.

The suspension was first announced by NLL VP of Communications Doug Fritts via twitter.
