Yesterday the Charlotte Hounds acquired faceoff specialist Jerry Ragonese from the Long Island Lizards. Last night I spoke to Jerry about the move.
“I am really just excited to be playing again.” said Ragonese. Â “Just getting an opportunity to help them at the X is a good enough for me. “
Ragonese will likely be the Hounds primary faceoff guy for the next two weeks, before Geoff Snider comes home from coaching Team Canada in Finland.
“Charlotte is a great place and they draw a great crowd especially for an expansion team and its always fun to play in front of a great home crowd. The fans have already reached out on social media outlets and told me how excited they are to have me and I found that to be really cool especially when I haven’t even put a jersey on yet.”
Lastly, Ragonese commented on his time in Long Island;
 “My time in LI was great, It’s a fantastic organization, the coaching staff treated me well and all the guys on the team are great guys, its definitely bittersweet to be leaving the Lizards especially with how great they are playing I wish them the best of luck as they move forward this season “
