Chris Attwood is getting another shot at making the NLL and the Rochester Knighthawks. Chris is a great player from St. Catherines, ON, who has broken many records and won some big time championships. He first saw much success while playing Junior B lacrosse for the Six Nations Rebels where he won a Founders Cup and sits second all time in points for the team. After playing in Junior B for the Rebels Chris took his game back home to play for St. Catherines’ Junior A team in his last year of junior eligibility in 2012. Chris had no problem putting the ball in the back of the net but he was shipped off to the Whitby Warriors where he finished his career losing in the Ontario Finals.
Since Chris has played two summers for Senior B St. Catherines he was named rookie of the year in 2013 posting 56 points and leading his team to a Presidents Cup victory. The past two summers Chris has also played MSL for Brampton where he has shown much promise. In the Canadian Lacrosse League for the past three years Chris has been one of the league’s biggest stars if not the biggest. In 2012 he led the league in many scoring categories while winning the first ever Creators Cup championship with the Oshweken Demons. In 2013 Chris was traded to the Iroquois Ironmen where he saw much of the same success and won a another Creators Cup. After the league went with only one all native team in 2014 Chris went back to the Demons. He helped the team go undefeated for almost the whole season before losing to Niagara in the championship.
Chris comes from a big lacrosse family. His brother Mike played goalie in the NLL and he’s a teammate of Chris and their youngest brother Craig on the Demons. Attwood’s other oldest brother is now the head coach of the Niagara Lockmonsters in the Canadian Lacrosse League.
