Kyle Belton Back Home With Stealth

Earlier this off season, the Vancouver Stealth traded for Kyle Belton from the newly named New England Black Wolves. New England, moving from Philadelphia, had acquired Belton last NLL trade deadline from the Toronto Rock for goaltender Brandon Miller.

“I was shocked to hear the team was moving originally but happy to see the team found a home at the Mohegan Sun as the New England Black Wolves” said Belton.

Belton, a Langley native, was sent to Vancouver for forward Jamie Lincoln. The Stealth, located in Langley, is like returning home for Belton.

“Feels good pretty excited for the opportunity to be playing in my own backyard in front of friends and family” he says. “It makes it easier on both sides being from Langley and able to play out of your hometown.”

In his career Belton has seven points in 21 games. The righty forward should get a bigger role with the Stealth than he had last season in Toronto and Philadelphia.

“I feel I can help out on the back end while being able to push the ball hard and be a threat on offence.” he said. “I’ve been teamates with Lewis Ratcliff while playing for the Langley Thunder in the WLA and have been playing against Rhys Duch my whole life so, will be nice to see some familiar faces when training camp begins. Looking to show all aspects of my game from my speed, agility, and ability to play both ends of the floor.”
