The Boston Cannons continued to revamp their roster as they took part in last Wednesday’s MLL Supplemental Draft. A total of 96 players were chosen from a pool of over 500 players and the Cannons seems to try and make the most of their picks. At the end of the 2012/2013 season, the UMass Men’s lacrosse team defeated Delaware 16-8. This impressive win did not accurately reflect the tone of their entire season, which ended dismally at a record of 7-8. At one point, the Minutemen lost 7 of 9 games, with their two wins by the narrowest of margins.
Yesterday, Team England paid a visit to the University of Massachusetts for a friendly fall ball meeting, one of many stops on their US tour. The associate head coach of the UMBC Retrievers Ed Stephensen was hired by the UMass Lowell Riverhawks as their head coach.
Yesterday, the UMass-Lowell Riverhawks announced they would be going division one in all sports (they only had division one hockey). Today, they announced they would be adding men’s and women’s lacrosse to their program, also in division one. They will be joining the America East Conference.
