UMass-Lowell to Add Lacrosse Program

Yesterday, the UMass-Lowell Riverhawks announced they would be going division one in all sports (they only had division one hockey). Today, they announced they would be adding men’s and women’s lacrosse to their program, also in division one. They will be joining the America East Conference. NCAA Review: UMass, Duke, High Point Get Wins

The first weekend of NCAA Men’s lacrosse is in the books, providing both thrillers and blow outs. We saw a lot of firsts with High Point getting their first win in program history and Bryant taking Colgate into overtime.  It was an exciting weekend of lacrosse at every division. UMass, Hofstra Class of CAA

As the season approaches these teams have some very good talent. Delware, Drexel, Hofstra, UMass, Penn State, Saint Joesphs, and Towson are the toss up teams in the division. Last season both UMass and Drexel battled for the CAA Championship. As we know, UMass was undefeated, with their stifling defense and their outstanding offense. As Drexel struggled with UMass and lost the game. Questions and concerns for this organization would be more skilled players…
