USA entered play undefeated but lost two games, one to Team Canada and one to the Iroquois Nationals. The first time USA and Canada faced each other Canada outplayed the United States and won 15-13. The U.S. dominated on face-offs throughout the game, winning 17 of 22. Charlie Raffa (Maryland) won…

MLL Three Stars From This Weekend

July 23, 2012

Right off the bat I’m giving a star to the Ohio Machine. Even though they lost, they showed a lot of heart and played hard all game. Brian Phipps held the Bayhawks to 11 goals, compared to the 21 they scored in the first meeting. The Machine showed that there is a lot of promise in the future for the club in Ohio. Their rookies are adapting to the MLL…

This game comes after the Hounds defeated the Chesapeake Bayhawks two weeks ago and after the Rattlers fell to the Bayhawks last weekend. Charlotte was annihilated by the Denver Outlaws 21-7 last weekend in Colorado and need to regain some dignity. Rochester held their own but…

Outlaws Go Into Boston and Win, Could Move Into First

July 20, 2012

It was a game where Boston could move in either direction; into second, or possibly out of a playoff spot. But the Cannons could not keep up with the Denver Outlaws, and lost 17-13. Chris Bocklet opened up the scoring with a pass form Jeremy Sieverts. Brendan Mundorf would also score in that quarter, but goals from Matt Poskay and Ari Sussman kept it a tied game after one quarter….

Chesapeake won the first game 23-11 which seemed to be an easy win for the Bayhawks. However, that was the beginning of the season, and this is a different Ohio team with new factors at play. Position Breakdowns: Hounds vs. Rattlers

Both teams will be looking to rebound off of last weekend’s losses. Charlotte, who was dominated by Denver, will have to find their team chemistry again. I really don’t think that there’s one area that did not need fixing for the Hounds. Their defense is going to have to get better on their slides and whoever steps in net will have to stand on their head against this Rattlers offense….
