Anthony Chase: “NALL Ended on a High Note”

March 19, 2013

The first season of the North American Lacrosse League has come to an end with the Boston Rockhoppers as the 2013 champions. They defeated the Kentucky Stickhorses by a score of 25-13, but despite that, owner Anthony Chase believes the season ended on a high note. “I think the league ended on a high note with a Championship game. We had our struggles, but the goal all along was to…

March 19, 2013

I’d like to begin this blog by thanking In Lacrosse We Trust for the opportunity to write a little piece about lacrosse and the NALL every week. It has been a great season for the Rockhoppers and certainly an overall successful one for the league as well. If you look at what was positive from the second season of the North American Lacrosse League, I think the future looks promising…

Rockhoppers Win First Ever NALL Championship

March 17, 2013

Led by MVP Mike Stone, the Boston Rockhoppers defeated the Kentucky Stickhorses 26-13 to win the first ever North American Lacrosse League championship. Kentucky was able to hang in with Boston most of the first half until things blew up in the second quarter. Goaltender Patrick Crosby was pulled and Spencer Lyons was put into the game, and the flood gates opened as he allowed 16 goals over two and…

Today the Kentucky Stickhorses will host the Boston Rockhoppers as they battle for the first ever North American Lacrosse League championship. Kentucky (2-5) is 0-3 this season against Boston (6-1). March 13, 2013

With the trade deadline only hours away, and the deadline for teams to sign free agents for playoffs is Friday March 15 at 5pm, I turned to the roster of the Baltimore Bombers of the NALL.  Four names stuck out. Matt Alrich(D)  Dan Marohl(F), Shaun Nadelen(D) &  John Orson(D) Have to wonder if Head Coach Johnny Mouradian or any of the other GM’s will be dialing the house of Shaun…

Rockhoppers Squeeze By Kingfish 15-14

March 10, 2013

The Boston Rockhoppers were playing in their last game before their championship tilt in Kentucky, and it was surprisingly tight victory for them as they defeated the Rhode Island Kingfish 15-14. Boston was led by goaltender Chris Hettler, replacing an injured Vincent Talbot who was hurt during warmups. Mike Stone also scored four goals while Ryan Hotaling and Tommy Palasek each had hat tricks. They got two goal efforts from…

NALL: Bombers Cease Operations

March 9, 2013

Yesterday the lacrosse world was sad to learn the Baltimore Bombers will not participate in the North American Lacrosse League season from here on out and will not participate in the championship. As of right now, there will still be a Boston vs Kentucky championship. Below is the statement from the Bombers organization. The Baltimore Bombers remain a great opportunity but the economics didn’t work. Should an opportunity arise in…

Talbot: Rockhoppers Face Kingfish at Home

March 8, 2013

The games that team plays of the road are often different from the ones you play at home. The game plan is usually simplified and, as the away team, you don’t feel the need or the emotional connection to give a good show to your fans. When we travel to Kentucky, our biggest enemy is the fatigue we accumulate from flying and driving. I’m sure teams from Rhode Island and…

NALL: Rockhoppers Take on Kingfish

March 8, 2013

Let’s take a minute to forget that Baltimore vs Kentucky was cancelled and all of the issues we have heard about and talk about the lacrosse on the field, shall we? Tomorrow night the Boston Rockhoppers return home to play their New England rival Rhode Island Kingfish. Rhode Island, who sits at 0-3, have added two new offensive players in James Synowiez and Justin Otto from Baltimore to shore up…
