Machine Coach Ted Garber Extended

Today the Ohio Machine announced they will extend head coach Ted Garber for the 2013 MLL season.

The Machine have had a rocky start to their MLL existence, at 1-7 on the year so far. Garber was the head coach of the Old School all star team in Florida earlier this month.

Garber was an assistant coach for the Boston Cannons, Rochester Rattlers and Chicago Machine and was the head coach of the Bridgeport Barrage in 2001. He also was a lacrosse coach at UMass in the nineties.

From the Ohio Machine website: “It is a honor and privilege to continue be the head coach of the Ohio Machine, however, I have always believed that it is necessary to put the players and organization at the top of the list of what is important and then things will work out for the best,” said Garber. “We have gone through some growing pains that all expansion teams experience, which will only makes us stronger. And I can assure all of our fans that success for this organization is definitely imminent and we really appreciate their continued loyal and enthusiastic support.”

This week Ohio takes on the Hamilton Nationals.
