Mammoth Have Much to Test in First Preseason Game Afainst Stealth

The Vancouver Stealth fell last night to the Edmonton Rush 13-8, and now they face the Colorado Mammoth in their first game of the pre season. While the Stealth lost last night, they still saw promising signs with goals from rookie Dan Keane and newcomer Dane Stevens.

Colorado comes in without many changes to their offense other than the departure of Casey Powell and the addition of Alex Turner along with draft picks. Eli McLaughlin has had a strong team and now he will make his NLL game debut.

Also possibly making debuts are rookie goaltender Alexis Buque and and defenseman Robert Hope, both of which have also played well in camp for the Mammoth.

Dillon Ward should see time as the starter in this afternoon’s matchup, but both Buque and Tye Belanger could see some action as well for Colorado.

The Stealth only scored six goals, albeit against a terrific defense in Edmonton, so they will need to look to put it in the back of the net more. Don’t be surprised to see an aggressive offense from Vancouver.

Game time is at 12pm eastern time, 9am pacific, at the Langley Events Centre.
