MILA Weekend Preview

Another week is upon us, meaning another week of MILA lacrosse. There are five games on this weekend’s slate, so we could see some movement in the standings come next week.

The Colorado Sabretooths have a busy weekend as they begin their MILA season. They start off by hosting the Madison Capitals on Friday. They face a real difficult test on Saturday when they take on the undefeated Chicago Outlaws. Colorado has put together a good group and have an excellent group of coaches, so it should be interesting to see if they can come out with a vengeance.

The Milwaukee Marauders hope to get their first win of the season this week when they face the Minnesota Jaxx. Milwaukee started the season with a home and home against Chicago, losing both matches.

Another team looking to get back on track is the Pittsburgh Octane, who were no match for Grand Rapids last week. The Octane did however win their first two games against Columbus and Cleveland, so they are the favorite over the Detroit Coney Dogs. Detroit is coming off a loss to Southern Ohio.

Cleveland has another test as they take on the Columbus Lacrosse Club. Columbus has had their struggles this season, so this is a game that could really go either way. Cleveland has shown hints of greatness and could establish themselves as one of the best in the Mid-States Division.
