The Minnesota Swarm will be taking on the Colorado Mammoth tonight in Minnesota. This game is really only a factor for the Mammoth, who are in the midst of a battle for the last place in the playoffs. The Mammoth are a game and a half ahead of the Vancouver Stealth.
This game is being over shadowed by the NHL Playoff game between the Minnesota Wild and the Colorado Avalanche, which is in Denver tonight.
Although the NHL game has more appeal, the NLL game may be the better of the two games to watch. The Swarm and the Mammoth have a testy history with each other and will definitely look to continue it since one team looks to spoil another’s season.
The Swarm are coming into tonight’s game with a record of 4-12, where as their opponents, the Mammoth, come in at 6-10. The Swarm will be looking to rookie Logan Schuss to really take charge against the Mammoth’s defense. The Swarm will also need secondary scoring from rookie Scott Jones and Kiel Matisz, both of whom have under achieved this season.
The Mammoth will be looking to the Legend John Grant Jr. and Drew Westervelt to lead the offense against the Swarm’s shaky defense. The Mammoth will also look to Dillon Ward to step up and help carry the team to the playoffs.
The starting faceoff is scheduled for 8pm EST in the great state of Minnesota at the Excel Energy Center.
