Mitch Jones Brings Lefty Depth to Banits

Second year transition player Mitch Jones was acquired by the Buffalo Bandits on September 17th during the 2013 NLL Draft in Oakville, ON.  The Bandits traded their 20th overall pick in 2013 and a fifth round selection in 2015 from the Vancouver Stealth.

In 2013, Jones suited up for three games for the Stealth scoring one goal and three assists.  The Delta, BC native was picked 21st overall in the 2012 NLL Draft by the Washington Stealth; now Vancouver Stealth beginning in 2014.

Jones won a Minto Cup in 2012 with the Orangeville Northmen of the Ontario Junior A Lacrosse League.  He scored 67 points (26G, 41A) in 11 regular season games and 58 points (23G, 53A) in 17 playoff games.  In 2010 & 2011, Jones played for the Brampton Excelsiors and from 2007 -2009 he dressed for the Delta Islanders of the BC Junior A League.

Jones is a lefty forward on a team with an uncertain future at that position- John Tavares and Shawn Williams are aging while Mike Hominuck has been rumored to be a potential pre season cut.
