MLL Power Rankings: Week Four

1. Denver Outlaws

The Outlaws had another big win this weekend, when they played their first home game and defeated the Rochester Rattlers. The Outlaws are one of two undefeated teams remaining and the only team to reach four wins thus far.

2. Hamilton Nationals

The Nationals picked up a 16-15 overtime win at home against the Charlotte Hounds this week, staying undefeated at 3-0. They have now defeated Boston, Charlotte and New York, all good teams, but how do they stock up against the iron of the league?

3. Chesapeake Bayhawks

The Bayhawks suffered a surprising loss when they lost to Boston on the road in overtime. John Grant Jr and Kip Turner had good games as always, but the Cannons just found a way to win. However, the mark on their record remains and the Bayhawks are no longer undefeated.

4. New York Lizards

The Lizards finally got their second win this week when they defeated the winless Ohio Machine. They are 2-2 on the season with wins against just struggling teams. However, they are still trying to get their chemistry working and they have shown flashes of being the great team we all think they are.

5. Charlotte Hounds

Charlotte suffered a tough road OT loss this weekend and are now 1-3 with their only win on the road in Rochester. They were without some of their best players on Friday morning, but their record remains the same.

6. Rochester Rattlers

Rochester looked pitiful against the Outlaws and it is already looking like a lost season for the Rats. They have one win on the season, on the road, but overall the mindset around the team doesn’t seem too good. They don’t seem to expect to win.

7. Boston Cannons

Boston finally got their first win this weekend when they defeated the 3-0 Bayhawks at home in overtime. Their goaltending will struggle right now due to injury, but we all know their offense has been better than it has played, and it shined through on Saturday.

8. Ohio Machine

Ohio has now lost Connor Martin to injury and Peter Baum isn’t ready to join them yet, while the Machine sit at 0-3. How much time do they have to rebound and become a contending team?
