MLL Prospects in NCAA: Week Two

Colgate Raiders vs Vermont Catamounts

Peter Baum, the top pick in the draft for the Ohio Machine, scored a hat trick for the Raiders this past weekend. He is set to break the Patriot League record for goals according to Major League Lacrosse’s official website.

Maryland Terrapins vs Hartford Hawks

Hartford has been a prospect building machine the past three seasons, but it was all Maryland prospects in this game. Bayhawks prospect Jesse Bernhardt scored in the Terps win, his first of the season. Bayhawks prospect Kevin Cooper also scored two goals while Charlotte Hounds prospect Josh Haus scored one goal with two assists.

Denver Pioneers vs Penn State Nittiny Lions

Denver got it handed to them this weekend as they fell to Penn State 15-12 in a massive upset. Ohio Machine prospect Chase Cararro had an assist for the Pioneers but was injured and did not return. Boston Cannons draft pick Cam Flint scored three goals with two assists.

Virginia Cavaliers vs Drexel Dragons

Hounds draft pick Matt White scored four goals in the game for the Cavaliers, including the overtime game winner seconds into the overtime session. Chris LaPierre of the Hamilton Nationals also had a good showing for Virginia.

Ohio State Buckeyes vs Jacksonville Dolphins

Logan Schuss continued his terrific final season for Ohio State with two goals against the Dolphins on Sunday, his eighth and ninth of the season. Schuss was a draft pick for the Ohio Machine in the second round.

Loyola Greyhounds vs Delaware Blue Hens

Mike Sawyer of the Hounds scored twice along with Cannons draft pick Scott Ratliff as Loyola grabbed their first win, a tight 9-8 one goal game over the now 1-1 Delaware Blue Hens.

North Carolina Tar Heels vs UMass Minutemen

Boston Cannons top prospect Will Manny was out for Massachusetts due to a hand injury, a huge concern. Marcus Holman, a top draft pick to the Ohio Machine, scored two goals in the Tar Heels loss.
