MLL Prospects in the NCAA: Week One

Major League Lacrosse has several players playing in Division One lacrosse after this January’s draft, so we check in on who had the best weeks of future MLL stars.

Massachusetts 16 Army 9

UMass has several players going pro after this season, including Will Manny to the local Boston Cannons. Yesterday he scored one goal. Garret Thul, drafted to the Hamilton Nationals, had a goal and an assist in the loss.

Duke 21 Jacksonville 9

David Lawson of the Rochester Rattlers scored a goal and an assist in the blowout win for the Devils. Jake Tripucka of Hamilton had two goals and an assist while their pick from the Dolphins, Cameron Mann picked up a goal and an assist as well.

Denver 14  Duke 12

The day before, Duke fell to Denver. Lawson again had a goal and assist while Tripucka scored twice with an assists. For the Pioneers, Cannons draft pick Cameron Flint had an assist, Ohio Machine pick Chase Carraro had a helper and Outlaws draft pick Eric Law had a goal and three assists.

Johns Hopkins 15  Siena 6

Hopkins’ John Ranagan of the Hamilton Nationals scored three goals in the Blue Jays blowout win over the Saints. Lee Coppersmith of the Cannons also scored three goals while Zach Palmer of the Rattlers picked up three assists.

North Carolina 16  Air Force 8

Marcus Holman of the Machine had himself a day for the Tar Heels, with two goals and a team leading six assists in the win. He was the only pro in action for this game.
