MLL Supplemental Draft: Midfielders

Midfielders are valuable in Major League Lacrosse, helping out the attack with the scoring and turning around and playing some defense. As teams try to strengthen the middle of their field, they will have these options in the Supplemental Draft next week.

Carter Bender- Out of Hartford University and now a member of the NLL’s Buffalo Bandits, and played a game with MLL’s Rochester Rattlers last season. Scored 25 points in 15 games with the Brampton Excelsiors in 2012.

Kyle Buchanan- Drafted into the NLL by the Washington Stealth and played his college ball with Robert Morris. He played with St. Regis of the QSLL this summer and played three seasons with the Brooklin Redmen.

Brett Bucktooth- Long time NLL player currently with Washington. He has played in MLL for seven years and has seen time with the Hamilton Nationals. He scored 12 goals in 2012 for the Nationals. Former star at Syracuse.

Malcolm Chase- Plays in the NALL with the Boston Rockhoppers. Plays in LXM Pro and is currently the coach of Southern Maine University.

Dan Deckelbaum- Former Philadelphia Wing and current Baltimore Bomber who has played MLL with the Hamilton Nationals. Has also played MLL in Chicago and Rochester and QSLL with the Vermont Voyageurs.

Jason Duboe- Has played MLL with the Boston Cannons. Also played NLL with the Boston Blazers. Played lacrosse at Harvard and was drafted to the Cannons in 2010.

Rhys Duch- Played MLL with Hamilton last season and plays NLL with the Washington Stealth. Also plays with the Six Nations Chiefs in the summer so it’s unclear how many games he could play in MLL.

Timmy Fallon- Current Boston Rockhopper and was playing as the faceoff man for the Rochester Rattlers before they picked up John Ortolani.

JJ Gilbane- Cornell grad who was drafted by the Boston Cannons. Scored ten goals in his last year with Cornell in 2011. Drafted to NALL’s Rhode Island Kingfish.

Dan Hardy- MLL vet with Denver, Chesapeake and Rochester. Played in just seven games with six points in 2012 for the Rattlers after only eight games with Chesapeake in 2011.

Andrew Hennessey- Was the Charlotte Hounds faceoff man early in 2012. Played with Denver in 2011. Has one MLL point from 2010 with Denver.

Adam Jones- 2012 NLL rookie of the year with the Colorado Mammoth. Played two games with one goal for the Nationals in 2012.

Andrew Lay- Former Denver Outlaw. Also played at the University of Denver and was drafted to the Outlaws in 2011.

Jordan Levine- MLL veteran who played with the Ohio Machine in 2012. Has previously played with the Rochester Rattlers, Chesapeake Bayhawks and New Jersey pride.

Ryan Maciaszek- Member of the Kentucky Stickhorses. Also played with the Newton Golden Eagles in the CanAm League and Reading Rockets of the PLL.

Michael Maggio- Has played with the Boston Cannons and was a top pick in the NALL draft to the Baltimore Bombers.

Brice Queener- Playing in CLax with the Barrie Blizzard this winter. Played with the Peel Avengers in the league last season.

Josh Sims- Former midfielder with the Denver Outlaws. Has also played with the Nationals, Chicago Machine, Bayhawks and NLL in 2010 with Philadelphia.

Justin Smith- Has played MLL in Philadelphia, Boston, Chesapeake, Charlotte and Long Island. Scored nine points in five games with Charlotte in 2012 and had 23 with the Cannons in 2010.

Brock Sorensen- Ohio State standout and second overall pick to Minnesota Swarm this fall. Had a knee injury that kept him out with Ohio State and MSL’s Peterborough Lakers but has fully recovered.
