MLL Three Stars: Powell On Top Again

Major League Lacrosse has now been through four weeks and we are starting to get a feel about where each team stands. Players are also starting to hit their stride and we honor the best three of the week.

Number Three—Paul Rabil, Boston Cannons

Rabil continues his strong season with the Cannons by putting up six more points. His three goals and three assists helped lead the Cannons get their first win in three weeks against the Charlotte Hounds. Rabil is now tied with second in the league in points with Eric Law from the Denver Outlaws, who also has 18 on the season.

Number Two—Kieran McArdle, Florida Launch

After just two weeks in Major League Lacrosse, McArdle is starting to find a groove and has emerged as a scorer for Florida. He was second on the Launch in points in their third straight win when he put up six points that led him to the rookie of the week award. McArdle netted six points on the night including five goals in just his second career game. The former St. Johns Red Storm standout has been impressive in just his first two MLL games.

Number One—Casey Powell, Florida Launch

Remember when we all thought Casey Powell retired? Then he came back and we all thought he was done? Yeah, now he’s Casey Powell again. Powell was named the MLL player of the week because of his seven points in the Launch’s victory over the Chesapeake Bayhawks. He also became the all-time MLL leader in points as he picked up his 428th MLL point over 10 seasons. Six of his points were assists.
