It’s tough to rank three players when there is one game all week and that game is dominated by just one team. Therefore, every star this week is on Boston. Sorry, Baltimore.
Mike Stone, Boston Rockhoppers
Mike Stone had seven goals. Seven goals. That is the best single game performance in the history of the NALL, one goal better than Matt Hickman’s six goals two weeks ago for Baltimore. To make it worse for the Bombers, he scored through the entire game and they were not able to come anywhere close to covering him.
Vince Talbot, Boston Rockhoppers
Talbot, who wasn’t expected to be a starter this season, might be having the best year of any goaltender in the league. He made 33 saves on 42 Baltimore shots on Sunday, facing the most shots he has faced all season. He also got a vote of confidence with former starter Nick Schroeder released earlier in the week.
Marty Bowes, Boston Cannons
It isn’t seven goals, but Bowes was second on the Rockhoppers in points this week with three, a goal and two assists. Bowes has been one of the better players on the Boston offense, behind just Stone and Andrew Kirkaldy.
