NCAA: Tar Heels Face Pride

April 13th, 2013, the #6 North Carolina Tar Heels head to Hempsted New York to take on the #20 Hofstra Pride.  UNC is coming off a huge win, where they took down the Virginia Cavaliers 10-7, and is looking to improve their rank headed into the ACC and National tournaments.   Do not just look at the ranks and call this a victory though, Hofstra is coming of a huge win to St. Josephs’s 13-1, and putting down the Tar Heels will absolutely improve their rank.
UNC is coming off a week where they swept in ACC player of the week awards and the play of Marcus Holman and Kenien Burke will be a factor in the game.  Holman tallied 6 points with three goals and three assists.  His hat trick coming before half time.  Burke had an outstanding performance with 23 saves and only allowing 7 to slip by him.
In order for the Heels to take this game and continue with the win streak, which now stands at five.  UNC is going to have to focus on their two problem areas, that has improved slightly of late, ground balls and winning at the X.  Hofstra has shown that they are susceptible to the fast break and Carolina can take advantage of that, and should look to do so throughout the game.  Finally, the Heels need to focus their attention at this last road game.  As we have seen too many times throughout the sporting world, under estimating your opponent can be a fatal mistake.
