Today marks the end of season 28 for the Philadelphia Wings. Tonight they will face the Colorado Mammoth in the hopes of sending the Wings faithful home with a win.
The Mammoth are on there way to the playoffs and will face Calgary. But tonight they must face a Wings team who wants to go out a winner. Former Wing Drew Westervelt returns to his old home. Mammoth will also look to pick up a little momentum going into the playoffs but will also try to avoid any injuries in the final regular season game.
Rookie Dillon Ward has been the man between the pipes, but may split time with Tye Belanger. John Grant Jr., Adam Jones and company will provide some excitement and keep the Wings on their toes.
For the Wings, they will miss the playoffs after making it the last two seasons. After a slow start Kevin Crowley has been putting the ball in, Jordan Hall and Ryan Ward have had a great season. You can look for these players along with Kelusky, Thul and company to put on a show.
These teams met in week 14 and the Wings came out on top 14-12 in Denver. We can expect nothing less then another classic battle between the 2 oldest franchises in league history.
