NLL League Leaders Week 9

Two months into the season, let’s see how things stack up.

Garrett Billings moves from the third spot to the first spot in the league lead in points with the addition of nine points this week, taking his total to 58. Following behind him in second is last week’s leader, John Grant Jr. with 53; the Mammoth had a bye week this past week. In third place is Shawn Evans with 51; the Roughnecks forward added four points on Saturday. Dane Dobbie has taken over the goal lead from Adam Jones with 26, scoring three goals this past weekend. Out three weeks with a shoulder injury, Adam Jones has fallen to second place with 25 goals while his Mammoth teammate, John Grant Jr., is third with 22 goals. Grant Jr. is tied in the third spot with Rhys Duch and Stephan LeBlanc as well; LeBlanc was the only player in action during Week 9, notching three goals. Garrett Billings has a league high 42 assists, adding nine to his previous 33 to leapfrog over Shawn Evans who is now in the second spot. Evans added four for a total of 41. Bringing up third is Dan Dawson. The Knighthawks forward had four assists as well, bringing his total to 33.

Bob Snider had the week off, yet remains in first for faceoffs at 168 won. Geoff Snider won 13 to bring his cumulative total to 146 for the second slot. Jay Thorimbert has 121 for third, having won six this weekend.   Former teammates Dan Ball and Andrew Suitor are tied for the lead in penalty minutes with 39. Ball was off last week but had 19 PIMS against Vancouver on Valentine’s Day. Suitor added 17 minutes Saturday in Toronto. Matt Beers and Ilija Gajic are in second and third place, neither having added any penalty minutes.  Colin Doyle holds the sole lead in power play goals with eight, having added one. Seven is the number for second, and that is held by Jordan Hall, Dane Dobbie, Jeff Shattler, and Logan Schuss. Hall, Dobbie, and Shattler each added one power play goal over the week while Schuss had three on Sunday. Tracey Kelusky takes the third spot with six; he did not add any power play goals this week. John Grant Jr. maintains his lead in shots on goal at 109. Rhys Duch was also off last week and keeps the second slot with 89. The third spot is now Kevin Crowley with 85 as he had 11 shots on goal.

The top spot for goaltending remains unchanged with a tie for wins between Anthony Cosmo and Aaron Bold with six; neither played this weekend. Matt Vinc and Mike Poulin are tied for second with five; Vinc had a loss this weekend while Poulin picked up a win. The third slot is occupied by Nick Rose who also got a win this weekend. Aaron Bold maintains his top goals against average at 7.97 with a week off. Matt Vinc fell from 8.27 to 8.68 GAA for the second slot. Anthony Cosmo holds down the third spot with a week off at 10.21. Tyler Richards had the week off and is in the lead with 372 saves. Behind him is Anthony Cosmo who also got a week off; Cosmo has 337. Evan Kirk was also given Sunday’s game off and remains in third with 313 saves.
