Today the Vancouver Stealth signed forward Justin Pychal back to their roster after they cut Josh Hawkins. Hawkins made his NLL debut for the Stealth on Saturday against the Colorado Mammoth, where he played in the place of injured defenseman Kyle Sorensen.
Pychal was a rookie for the Stealth last season. Vancouver might also have to look for more defense help as Jeff Moleski suffered an injury as well on Saturday.
Nick Weiss was also placed on the active roster, where Hawkins takes his place on the practice roster heading into the week. In other NLL news, Colorado made a few moves in releasing Jackson Decker and John Gallant.
The Rock moved Eric Law back to the practice roster after their loss to Rochester and replaced him with defenseman Craig England, who had been suspended for last week’s game.
One last note, the NLL released a statement about the goal scored by Minnesota on Saturday with 5:17 remaining in the fourth Quarter.
“To the Lead Official, it appeared the Philadelphia goaltender had one foot outside the crease and one foot inside the crease when Minnesota player Shayne Jackson checked the goalies stick. Upon League video review, it was determined that the goalie’s right foot was on the crease line. By rule, a foot on the crease line is to be deemed within the crease. As a result the Minnesota player should have been called for a minor penalty under Rule 68.1 Goalie Interference and play should have stopped prior to the goal scored by Minnesota.”
