NLL Power Rankings: Rush Remain Undefeated, Calgary Gets Hot With 4 Wins in a Row

Week 10. Another slow week, but a lot of action. Rush remain undefeated, Roughnecks roll to fourth straight win crumble this weekend. Eight teams in action this weekend. Should be exciting as we are in the second half of the season.

Power Rankings   Week 10

(1) 1—Edmonton Rush  (8-0)  Edmonton defeated the Rock 11-10 in a game that saw a lead no bigger then two goals. Brett Mydske’s empty net goal with 44 seconds seemed to clinch the game, but Garrett Billings goal 10 seconds later gave the Rock a shot. It took a shoulder save by Aaron Bold in the final second to seal the win. Edmonton will host the Stealth Saturday 9 pm.

(2) 2—Buffalo Bandits (6-2)   Buffalo returns to action as they host the Minnesota Swarm Saturday at 7:30 pm.

(3) 3—Calgary Roughnecks (6-3)  Took advantage of a Rock team that battled less then 24 hours prior by Roughing them up 19-13 on to their fourth win in a row.  Curtis Dickson (6 G, 4 A), Dane Dobbie (4 G, 2 A) and Jeff Shattler (1 G, 7 A) led the onslaught. Calgary will travel to the mile high city to play the Mammoth 9 pm Saturday night.

(4) 4—Rochester Knighthawks (6-3) After taking a 7-2 lead into the half, the Knighthawks held off a surging Mammoth team in the second half to win 11-9. Steven Keogh five goals led the way, while defensemen Paul Dawson two goals was strong on defense. Knighthawks will return home and face the Wings 7:30 pm Saturday.

(5) 5—Toronto Rock (4-6)  Had a chance to take a strong hold on the final playoff spot in the east but crumbled twice this weekend. Tough battle with the Rush falling 11-10, then travel to Calgary and get rolled 19-13. Both games start at 9 pm. Rock are idle this week, and return with back to back March 15-16 (Rochester/Minnesota).

(6) 6—Colorado Mammoth (4-7)   Fell behind early to Rochester but fell just a bit short 11-9. Rookie Dillon Ward played well in defeat for the Mammoth. Mammoth will host Calgary Saturday 9 pm.

(7) 7—Philadelphia Wings (3-7)  Looking to get back on the winning track and end the current four-game losing skid. They will visit the Knighthawks Saturday 7:30 pm.

(8) 8—Vancouver Stealth (3-7)  Return to action this week and look to put a dent in the Edmonton armor. They visit Rexall Place and battle the Rush Saturday 9 pm.

(9) 9—Minnesota Swarm (2-7)  Comes off a bye week and faces the division leaders. Swarm look to build on a comeback win two weeks ago over the Wings as they are still in the hunt for the final playoff spot in the east. Swarm shuffle off to Buffalo for a 7:30 pm start Saturday.
