NLL: Stealth Look For Revenge Against Rush

Tonight the Washington Stealth will look for revenge against the Edmonton Rush who defeated them last week at home. Tonight they will be in Edmonton to face the 1-1 Rush.

Last week Edmonton was led by the nine goal performance by Mark Matthews in Washington. Meanwhile, the Stealth, now 2-1 on the season, were without goaltender Tyler Richards and he is expected to be back in action tonight.

Edmonton will be led in net by Aaron Bold, who has a goals against average of 10.00 on the season, good for fourth in the National Lacrosse League.

Cliff Smith leads the Stealth and the NLL with 16 points on the season while Rhys Duch leads the league with nine goals. Bob Snider leads the league with 40 loose balls for the Stealth and also in faceoffs won with 70.

Lewis Ratcliff leads the league with 33 shots on net while the closest thing to a league leader the Rush have is Curtis Knight with three power play goals, fifth in the league.

Edmonton is a young team led by Matthews and Knight, but also veterans like Corey Small and Zack Greer. They placed rookie Michael Cudmore on the Evaluation List- Active Roster earlier today.

Washington meanwhile has signed practice player Justin Salt to the active roster in time for tonight’s contest, a 9pm eastern start time. They have also signed Brett Hickey to the practice player list this week.

With a win the Rush can overtake the Stealth in the standings, but a win for Washington would make them the first three win team of the season.
