NLL Who’s In Who’s Out: Week Six

Last week several teams struggled with injuries, some to some bigger star players like Callum Crawford who missed with an injury. Below are some who’s in and out for this week. Today we saw Mike Accursi with Rochester get his first action since opening week.

Buffalo Bandits

OUT: John Tavares (Calf) Mike McNamara (IR) Mat Giles (IR) Jordan Critch (IR)

John Tavares will be missing his second straight week with a calf injury, and Buffalo lost their only other game without him. Head coach Darris Kilgour hopes this is the only game Tavares will miss before he is back in the lineup.

With Tavares out, there is a chance we might see rookie Carter Bender make his NLL debut after being a scratch all season.

Colorado Mammoth

OUT: Mac Allen (Knee) Tye Belanger (Knee)

Allen is out for the season after tearing his ACL for the second time, which gives the Mammoth some problems when it comes to their defensive transition game. Colorado is also without goaltender Tye Belanger and will have to rely on Matt Roik and Dan Lewis between the pipes again.

Washington Stealth

IN: Tyler Richards (Undisclosed)

Richards played a good game in Rochester last week where he gave up just seven goals, but the Stealth scored just six. Chris Hall says that Richards is healthy after he had missed two games earlier this season.

Minnesota Swarm

Questionable: Callum Crawford (Hamstring)

Sources say that Crawford is likely to be in this week after he missed last week’s loss to the Colorado Mammoth where their offense struggled from the right side. They need Crawford to be in there to be a leader for that unit from the side with young players following suit. However, he will be a gametime decision tonight.

Toronto Rock

IN: Chris White (Suspension)

OUT: Mike Lum-Walker (Knee) Phil Sanderson (IR) Damon Edwards (Suspension)

Chris White was suspended two weeks ago but played last week and the team says he is in again this week when they play the Swarm. They need him there with defensive injuries and Damon Edwards suspended.
