Notre Dame Takes on Air Force in Fall Ball

On Friday, October 25, the Air Force lacrosse squad scrimmages Notre Dame as part of the fall season. This game will mark the end to the fall season for Air Force, which has been rather busy for them, as they hope to improve on the mistakes they faced last season.

For Notre Dame, this scrimmage will probably help get their team into the rhythm they ha last season, as they were able to take the number two seed in the NCAA Tournament last year with a 11-5 record. Both teams, even though it is just a scrimmage, will use this game to shake off the rust and try to build some team chemistry with the new players.

For Air Force, the government shut down cancelled their first event for the fall season. Their other appearance in a scrimmage was against Colorado College on October 12. Facing Notre Dame will give Air Force a legitimate challenge and will prepare them for the upcoming season. With Air Force having faced five ranked teams during last season, facing Notre Dame will give them the chance to prove their skills amongst a legitimate top team.

The Notre Dame men’s lacrosse team has kept themselves just as busy during the fall season as well this year. The team traveled to New York City during the first part of their fall season for a professional trip, where they would meet with alumni from Notre Dame that were in the area. The team also heads to Colorado for an intrasquad box game on the 24th along with the scrimmage against Air Force on Friday.

Though it’s just a scrimmage, both these teams will look to use this game to shake off some rust that they may have from the break and will look to build chemistry with the new players on the team as well as the ones returning.
