MLL Future In California?

The MLL has tried venturing into California before, but the outcome was not so successful. The San Francisco Dragons and Los Angeles Riptide joined the league in 2006, but only lasted two seasons. That has many wondering if the league will ever return to the Golden State, especially as a part of their expansion plans in the coming years. Only four MLL franchises have ever straight up folded, and they…

With their win over the Rochester Rattlers last week, the Denver Outlaws clinched a spot in MLL Championship Weekend. Meanwhile, the Chesapeake Bayhawks had already clinched a couple of weeks before. The Boston Cannons need just…

Hounds Defeat Nationals, 11-9

In the only meaningless game of the week, the Charlotte Hounds defeated the Hamilton Nationals, 11-9. There were no playoff implications from this game with both the Hounds and Nationals not in the playoffs. The Hounds dominated from the get go, starting out with a five to one lead after the first quarter. At the half they would still lead 7-5. It was a low scoring third quarter, with one…

Chiefs Crush Excelsiors, Northmen Win in Playoffs

The Orangeville Northmen entered the OLA Junior A playoffs on a great run. The streak propelled the Horn Heads to a first round sweep of the Burlington Chiefs, and a hard-fought 4-1 series victory over Whitby. While the second round was a rougher series, Orangeville dominated the Warriors for the majority. The same could be said about the Six Nations Arrows who, before the final round, had yet to lose…

Outlaws Clinch Playoffs, Top Rattlers

Well, if the Rochester Rattlers objective to get into the playoffs wasn’t tricky before, it’s part of a Houdini act now. In last night’s match-up, the game went in Denver’s favor 17-12. The Outlaws won every quarter except for the fourth, but by that time, it was a little too late for the Rattlers. Steven Boyle started things off with a beautiful diving goal to give Rochester a one goal…
