Back on July 27th Archers LC faced Atlas LC and defeated them 11-10.  Tuesday night was the elimination matchup between these same two teams with Archers LC once again coming out on top this time 11-9. Archers will now face Chaos LC at 8 p.m. Thursday night with the winner going to the Championship on Sunday.

Tom Schreiber made his presence known as he and the Archers started dominating the game from the start. Joey Sankey, Josh Currier, Will Manny and Brendan Fowler off the faceoff would find the back of the net to open a 4-0 lead. John Crawley would find rope to put a stop to the bleeding as the Archers would control a 4-1 lead.

The second quarter was all Tom Schreiber for the Archers. Schreiber would score two early goals and collect his hat trick with 4:43 remaining. Grant Ament would draw Tucker Durkin to him clearing out the left side as Schreiber would be matched up with a short stick defender. Durkin would get over but not in time as Schreiber would fire a shot that would deflect off the side of Durkin’s helmet and handcuff Atlas goalie Jack Concannon short side to give the Archers an 8-3 lead.

But as we have seen, Atlas would never give up. Chris Cloutier would get his first of the night followed by Rob Pannell. Connor Buczek would fire a two-point goal that would go under a lengthy review. After the review it showed Buczek’s foot was just behind the two-point arc. Pannell would net the final goal of the half and Atlas would trail 8-6.

For as much offense that there was in the first half, there was just as much defense in the second half. The third quarter scoring was the Will Manny and Chris Cloutier show as both players would net two goals apiece for their teams. Manny would start it off with a great drive down the alley off a feed from Scott Ratliff. Cloutier would score two consecutive goals to get his hat trick. His second of the night would come from a beautiful feed from Rob Pannell, the other would come from a laser of a pass from Paul Rabil, as Cloutier would use his strength to toe the crease for a slam dunk goal for his hat trick and bring Atlas within a goal at 9-8. Manny would get his hat trick to close the scoring in the third and Archers would still maintain a two-goal lead.

Rob Pannell would draw Atlas within a goal, but that would be as close as they would get. Ryan Ambler shut the door on Atlas’ season as he would get the Archers a two-goal lead that they would carry to the final horn.

Pannell and Cloutier each collected hat tricks to lead Atlas. Trevor Baptiste would go 13-21 on faceoffs and goalie Jack Concannon would collect seven saves. With the loss Atlas will have the first pick in the collegiate draft.

For Archers, Tom Schreiber and Will Manny notched hat tricks. Schreiber also had a pair of assists. Josh Currier had a pair of goals.

Stephen Kelly and Brendan Fowler went a combined 10-23 on faceoffs while goalie Drew Adams went the distance and collected 12 saves.

Archers LC will face Chaos LC Thursday night 8 p.m. on NBC Sports Gold. These teams did not meet in the round robin.

The winner will go to Championship Sunday and face the winner of Redwoods LC vs Whipsnakes LC 10:30 p.m. NBCSN. Whipsnakes defeated Redwoods 13-9 in the round robin opener.
