Rock Sign Several Draftees and Free Agents

The Toronto Rock concluded their rookie and free agent camp on Sunday and with it signed most of their draft picks and several free agents. Of their draft picks they signed defender Ethan O’Connor (9th overall), Mike Woods (15th), Alex Lubczuk (44th) and Eric Law (28th).

The Rock also signed defenseman Bradley Kiri, a second round pick defenseman from the 2012 draft. He spent time on the practice squad last season. Along with Kiri, Toronto signed Brendan Thenhaus who was also on the practice squad.

Toronto went on to sign goaltender Craig Wende, making him their fourth goaltender in camp, and forward Jeff Swift, who went undrafted in 2013 out of the Peterborough Lakers organization.

Also signing were free agent defensemen Eric Pitre, Dustin Dunn and Craig England. England spent time with Buffalo last season while Dunn has spent time at training camp in the past with Minnesota.

Toronto also signed their captain Colin Doyle to a three year deal after franchising him previously. “Colin Doyle is the face of the Toronto Rock,” said Owner and President Jamie Dawick.  “Colin is a leader on and off the floor and exemplifies everything it is to be a member of this franchise.”
