Edmonton, AB–Edmonton Rush General Manager and Head Coach Derek Keenan announced today that the team signed last season rookie forward Curtis Knight to a three year agreement, goalie Brodie MacDonald to a two year agreement, defenders John Lintz, Jeff Cornwall, Mitch Banister, forwards Dane Stevens, Alex Turner and goalie Dave Marrese to one year agreements. Additionally the Rush have agreed to one year agreements with 2013 draft picks Ben Snider and Reid Mydske.
“Curtis had an immediate impact on the offense team last year, having him in a Rush jersey for three years is great for this team” states GM/Head Coach Derek Keenan “He had a great off-season winning Minto Cup this summer, he continues to get stronger.”
Knight finished the 2013 season with 46 points (19 goals) (27 assists), breaking the Rush Rookie Most Assists in a season with 27 assists, previously held by Corey Small at 22 assists.
Rush 2014 Training Camp opens Thursday, November 28 –Sunday, December 1 in Edmonton, with the second training camp weekend in Toronto, ON, Thursday, December 12-Sunday, December 15.
