Now some of you might be wondering why CLax would draft NLL drafted players? But it is because the NLL is so tough to get into with just nine teams, some of these players could end up in CLax after training camp. Here is some analysis of some of the picks from yesterday.
I expect some of these guys to be in the NLL, but these are just possibilities for CLax.
Kyle Goodchild- Durham Turfdogs
Wenster Green- Iroquois Ironmen
Just 19 years old, Green has tons of talent. However, Buffalo is loaded, so he might not be on the team this year. If not, he should be able to get great experience at a high level with the Ironmen.
Steve Toll- Brampton Inferno
This might be the surprise of the draft. Toll was a member of the Edmonton Rush last season in the NLL.
Robert Koger- Durham Turfdogs
Koger could be the best defenseman taken in this draft and if he plays, Durham will be thrilled to have him.
Michael Burke- Brampton Inferno
Burke has talent and has a good chance of playing for Brampton and being solid for them.
Bryan Campbell- Niagara Lock Monsters
Kevin Brownell- Niagara Lock Monsters
Tyler Tanguay- Durham Turfdogs
Drafted by the Swarm, he will have a tough time making their youthful and energetic roster and is a good bet to play CLax.
Dustin Caravello- Brampton Inferno
Zach Higgins- Durham Turfdogs
Higgins is a very good goalie, but Minnesota has two young studs they will probably not get away from. Higgins will likely play CLax and likely be very good at it.
Joel Matthews- Niagara Lock Monsters
Mattews has a good chance of making the Bandits but they are deep, this will be a good option for him if they decide to go in another direction.
Matt Hummel- Brampton Inferno
Michael Cudmore- Durham Turfdogs
Solid bet for CLax, and he will be good.
Justin Pyhcal- Niagara Lock Monsters
Pychal will be an NLL player, but this might be a tough year to make the Stealth roster.
Michael Teeter- Barrie Blizzard
Teeter is a good player but Toronto has an elite roster.
Cody McLeod- Niagara Lock Monsters
Pretty much a lock to play for Niagara at this point.
