Stealth Add Colin Boucher to Bolster Defense

The Vancouver Stealth have been active in the past few days, first getting the news that defenseman Tim Henderson will be back. However, this past week they lost to the Toronto Rock and their defense struggled without Rory Smith or Chris O’Dougherty, and it sounds like their defensive woes haven’t gotten any better.

Tyler Garrison was placed on the injured reserve and won’t play this week against Buffalo, so to make a counter move, they signed Colin Boucher. The name might be familiar to lacrosse fans because he was a part of the Six Nations Chiefs championship team and was at an NLL camp this training camp.

Boucher was at camp with the Buffalo Bandits where he signed a two year deal in 2013 but he did not make the roster. This season he was at Colorado Mammoth camp, where he had also signed a two year deal.

At 6’5, Boucher adds some size and physicality to a Stealth defense that will need it against Buffalo this week. It’s unclear if Smith will be back, but with Garrison now out, they need some bodies there.
