Stealth Camp: Meet Neil Arbogast

The Stealth added depth to their roster yet again, by signing Neil Arbogast. A member of the Western Lacrosse Associationʼs Burnaby Lakers, Arbogast is another skilled player. Arbogast possesses a keen defensive awareness and versitile lacrosse skill set specializing in tenacious defense. While excellent on ground balls, his speed is his best asset. A great burst out of a loose ball battle to run the floor, or mean tough defense, you will get a guy who does his job night in and night out with “Arbo”. Neil is a hometown guy from Vancouver, who attended Point Grey Secondary, then Bishopʼs University.

He grew up playing minor lacrosse in Vancouver till playing his intermediate and junior A in Burnaby and Delta. The 6ʻ1” 205 lb defender is an established starter on a good defense in the WLA and is looking to play in his first NLL game this season. He joins the cast of many looking to win a starting job on an already deep Vancouver squad.

The next two weekends will be big moving forward to see if he can make an impression on coach Hall and staff. Confident, cool and collected off the floor, Arbogastis a real gamer and plays well under pressure and in big games. Often found bringing the wood on the back end, his hands would surprise you and heʼs capable of scoring transition goals.

Indeed the pressure is on to get in the lineup any given night with all the talent in the group. Neil Arbogast best suits the National Lacrosse Leagueʼs style of play in my opinion with his transition ability to make a great play and a style of fast hard hitting defense. Expect to see him make his professional debut this season.
