It feels like it’s taken forever to get here, but the 2013 Cannons season will finally start this Sunday. I couldn’t be more excited to get back on the field with my teammates and compete for an MLL Championship.
The Cannons, just like many teams in the league, have high hopes for the season. After finishing a great training camp I think we’re in a great position to start the season strong and carry that momentum throughout the Summer.
It’s tough to imagine a team with better camaraderie than the Boston Cannons. Despite only being able to see each other a couple times a week throughout the season, we all get (almost weirdly) excited when we have the chance to get together.
I’ve always been a big believer that you play the game for the people around you. Being on a team with such a strong bond gives us an advantage when we go out each week to improve our record.
We finally get our first test this Sunday against New York. Our roster might be missing some big names due to NLL commitments, but with incredible depth on our roster we will have a talented team ready to play. One thing is for sure, it will be a hard-fought competitive game. Come check it out!
