The Minnesota Swarm Captain is back to work with the Swarm. Andrew Suitor was once again named the captain of the Minnesota Swarm. Suitor suffered a devastating knee injury last season, that required major surgery to repair.
Suitor was at the Swarm’s opening camp this last weekend in Oakville, ON, and while there he got back on the floor for the first time with the team since he went down last season. Suitor looked better than he has the last couple of seasons during the first weekend of camps.
Suitor was Quoted saying it was because of the injury and the subsequent rehab that has kept him better shape over the off-season.
The Captain is going into his third season in the NLL and his second as the Swarm’s captain.
This season will be one of Suitor’s most important after coming back from the injury and then signing a new record setting five year contract, he will need to prove once again that he deserves the contract and he will have to show the Hive some love, as he is one of the fan favorites.
With Suitor the Swarm have one of the best transition guys back and they also gain his experience, which the team will need come the tough times in the season. He will need to be the leader in the locker room he was to help these young rookies that make up a big portion of the team’s offense and reserve positions.
